Finland Company Introduces Smart Glasses That Auto-Focus According to Eye Movement

**Islamabad (Qudrat):** Finnish company IXI has unveiled advanced smart glasses that can automatically adjust focus based on the user’s eye movement.

While the glasses appear ordinary, they are equipped with eye-tracking sensors and liquid crystal lenses that instantly change focus depending on the viewing distance. Traditional glasses have fixed lenses, and bifocal or varifocal lenses require users to adjust head or eye position to see near or far. IXI’s auto-focus glasses eliminate this need by dynamically adjusting the lens focus.

The liquid crystal layer in the lenses bends light, while the eye-tracking sensors detect the distance at which the user is focusing. Using this information, the lenses automatically adapt for near or far vision.

The glasses weigh approximately 22 grams and are designed to look like regular eyewear for ease of use. The company has not yet announced the official launch date or pricing, as the product is still in the development phase. Experts believe this technology could replace traditional bifocal and varifocal lenses in the future and bring a significant shift in conventional vision correction methods.
