Quetta Bakeries Reducing Bread Weight, Selling at Double Price; Public Demands Strict Action

**Quetta:** In Quetta, bakery owners have once again reduced the weight of bread while charging consumers double the price, creating severe difficulties for the public. Bread priced at PKR 30 now weighs less than 300 grams, sparking widespread complaints from local residents.
Despite a city-wide ban on selling double bread by the district administration, many bakeries continue to sell underweight bread openly. Citizens have demanded that the government take strict action against bakery owners to provide relief to the public, alleging that officials are collecting money from these owners instead of enforcing regulations.
Local residents emphasized that immediate measures are needed to prevent exploitation and ensure that bread is sold at proper weight and price.
