Concerns Raised Over Imran Khan’s Health, PTI to Announce Future Course of Action Soon

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Salman Akram Raja and Allama Nasir Abbas have expressed serious concerns over the health of former prime minister Imran Khan and the prevailing political situation, announcing that the party’s political committee will review the matter and decide on the future course of action soon.
Speaking to the media, Salman Akram Raja said that parliamentarians have been present outside Adiala Jail since this morning and continued their protest until 3am last night. He stressed that nothing is more important than Imran Khan’s health, alleging that the current system represents the worst form of fascism.
He further said that for five days it was claimed that no such incident had occurred. According to him, meetings were held with the Chief Justice of Pakistan and his staff, but no satisfactory response has yet been received.
Salman Akram Raja said that the system lacks humanity, adding that it was stated the medical report would be handed over to Imran Khan and his sisters in a sealed envelope. He added that once the report is received, the family will decide which doctor to consult and what further steps to take.
He also said that Imran Khan’s sisters and associates have continued visiting Adiala Jail, reiterating that the party’s basic demand is an end to what it terms unlawful detention and false convictions. He announced that a meeting of the political committee would be held today to decide the party’s next move.
Meanwhile, Allama Nasir Abbas said that elderly people and women are currently being held in jails and claimed that such a system would be overthrown through struggle. He termed Imran Khan’s imprisonment as tantamount to hostility against Pakistan, adding that Imran Khan is an asset capable of uniting all provinces.
Allama Nasir Abbas also stated that the political committee meeting would determine the party’s future strategy.
