PCB Announces Commentary Panel for Pakistan vs Australia T20I Series

LAHORE:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the commentary panel for the upcoming three-match T20 International series between Pakistan and Australia.

Former Australian Test opener Simon Katich will be part of the commentary team for the series. Katich had previously served as a commentator during Australia’s historic tour of Pakistan in March 2022, when the two sides played a three-match Test series after a gap of 24 years.

Joining Katich on the panel will be former Pakistan Test captain Aamer Sohail, ex-Test batsman Bazid Khan and former PCB chairman and Test cricketer Ramiz Raja. Former Pakistan women’s team captain Urooj Mumtaz will also be part of the five-member commentary team.

Meanwhile, Zainab Abbas will host the PCB’s pitch-side segments, where viewers will be treated to in-depth expert analysis during the pre-match and post-match shows for all three matches at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The series will be broadcast in high definition using 28 cameras, including a buggy cam. The Decision Review System (DRS) will also be in place, featuring Hawk-Eye and UltraEdge technology.

The T20I series begins tomorrow, with the second and third matches scheduled for Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, respectively. All matches will start at 4:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time.
