Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir to Decide When and With Whom Talks Will Be Held: Barrister Gohar

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir will decide with whom negotiations should be held and when they should take place.

Talking to the media in Rawalpindi, Barrister Gohar said he learned about the PTI founder’s eye infection through the media, adding that if true, it is a matter of serious concern. He stressed that meetings between the PTI founder and his family are extremely important and should not be politicized. He questioned the logic behind restricting family meetings until February 8, asking whether politics would end on February 9 if meetings were stopped.

Barrister Gohar said there should be neither politics nor any soft stance on terrorism, warning that internal political conflicts only benefit terrorists. He emphasized that PTI does not support talks with those who are killing innocent people and called for a unified national narrative against terrorism, with provincial assemblies taken on board.

Referring to the issue of evacuations, he said the federal government issued a press release stating it had not ordered any evacuation, adding that such matters could have been resolved through direct communication. He said those responsible for the situation should sit together and address the issue collectively.

The PTI chairman reiterated that the party strictly follows the directives of its founder, who has given a clear mandate to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir. He said the duo of the two opposition leaders is now complete and they will jointly decide the timing and parties for negotiations. He cautioned against making irresponsible statements, saying words carry meanings and consequences.

Barrister Gohar said he did not have exact figures regarding the number of new hospitals built by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government but acknowledged that the launch of the health card was a positive initiative. He also emphasized the importance of women’s rights and protection, adding that the legal age for girls’ marriage should be increased further.
