Nasser Adeeb Reveals New Details About Syed Noor and Saima’s Secret Marriage

Lahore: Renowned Pakistani filmmaker and writer Nasser Adeeb has revealed new details regarding the alleged secret marriage of celebrated director Syed Noor and actress Saima, shedding light on a long-discussed topic in the local film industry.

Nasser Adeeb, the writer of iconic films such as Maula Jatt and The Legend of Maula Jatt, has recently gained renewed popularity through his candid discussions on digital media platforms, where he frequently shares insights and revelations about film personalities.

In a recent podcast interview with Abdul Hai Siddiqui for The Blue Truth Digital, Adeeb spoke at length about actress Saima, who has recently received praise for her performance in the television drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon.

Discussing Saima and Syed Noor’s secret marriage, Adeeb said that he first became aware of Syed Noor’s presence in Saima’s life, although their relationship was not publicly confirmed at the time. He expressed surprise, stating that Saima was a reserved and modest woman, which made the relationship unexpected in his view. He later learned that the two had married.

According to Adeeb, the marriage was arranged by film producer Karamat Gujjar, a close friend of both Saima and Syed Noor. He claimed that much of the film industry opposed the marriage, as several directors were reportedly interested in marrying Saima themselves.

Adeeb admitted that while he was initially against Syed Noor, his perspective changed after reflecting on a Quranic verse stating that pure women are meant for pure men. He said he believed Saima to be a virtuous and sincere woman, free from greed, and felt that her decision to marry Syed Noor must have been based on positive qualities he possessed. Following this realization, he said he let go of all resentment.

He further described Saima as a simple and private person who maintained few friendships and stayed away from controversies. Adeeb remarked that she was involved in only one scandal during her career, which was linked to Syed Noor, adding that “every woman has the right to one scandal.”

Nasser Adeeb concluded by saying that although he had once been strongly opposed to Syed Noor, he eventually ended his hostility and moved on from past differences.
