Salman Khan’s Old Video Supporting Pakistan on Terrorism Goes Viral Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Mumbai: A previously recorded video of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan speaking in support of Pakistan regarding terrorism has resurfaced and gone viral on social media. The video re-emerged at a time when India is accusing Pakistan of being behind the recent Pulwama incident and has launched retaliatory operations. Pakistan responded with Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, leading to a mutual ceasefire agreement between the two nations.
In the viral clip, Salman Khan emphasizes that Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism and that its internal situation is beyond control. He stresses that blaming each other immediately after any terror incident is not appropriate.
“India also faces terrorism. Both countries should work together to eliminate this menace,” Salman Khan says in the video. He also clarifies that Islam does not promote terrorism in any form, and neither the Quran nor Hadith permits the killing of innocent people.
Following the recent conflict between India and Pakistan, both sides have agreed to a ceasefire. Salman Khan had initially posted a message expressing gratitude for the ceasefire but later deleted it. Notably, the actor has not made any anti-Pakistan statements during the conflict, a stance that has drawn criticism in India.
