Breakthrough for Stroke Patients: New AI Device Enables Natural Communication

**Islamabad:** Researchers at the University of Cambridge in the UK have introduced an innovative AI collar device for stroke patients, capable of converting throat signals into natural, fluent speech.

The device, named **Re:Voice**, is worn around the patient’s throat and captures signals from both speech attempts and heartbeat patterns. These signals are then decoded using artificial intelligence, transforming them into coherent words and sentences.

According to the study, the device achieved nearly **96% accuracy for individual words** and **97% accuracy for complete sentences**, marking a significant milestone for patients with stroke or other neurological disorders.

Re:Voice can also interpret unspoken words and emotions, converting them into sentences, allowing patients to participate confidently in daily conversations. Scientists believe this technology could be extended in the future to help patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.

The Re:Voice device is designed to be simple, comfortable, and suitable for daily use, offering patients the opportunity to reintegrate effectively into social and professional life.
