Several Officers Suspended Over Mismanagement in Sindh Food Department

Karachi: Sindh Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob-ul-Zaman has taken major disciplinary action over alleged mismanagement in the provincial Food Department, suspending several officers to restore discipline and accountability.
According to details, strict measures were initiated against assistant directors, district food controllers, and other officials as part of efforts to improve governance within the department. Assistant Food Controller Larkana Abdul Waseem Jamali, Assistant Food Controller Sukkur Qareebullah Soomro, and Assistant Food Controller Umerkot Vishan Das have been suspended. Food supervisors from Shikarpur and Madeji were also removed from their posts with immediate effect.
Additionally, District Food Controller Jamshoro Zahid Hussain Umrani and District Food Controller Ghotki Hakim Ali Mehr have been transferred.
Speaking on the occasion, Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob-ul-Zaman said a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted to ensure discipline in the Food Department. He added that the accountability process is being accelerated and indiscriminate action will be taken against irresponsible officers.
