Pet Lioness Attacks 8-Year-Old Girl in Lahore, Police Launch Hunt for Owner
Lahore:** An eight-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a pet lioness in Bhikaywal Pind area of Lahore on Wednesday, police said.
According to police officials, the child sustained injuries to her **ear, neck and leg** and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be out of danger.
Police revealed that a local resident was **illegally keeping a pet lioness at his home**. Following the incident, teams from the **police and the Wildlife Department** rushed to the scene.
A spokesperson for the **DIG Operations** said that after the attack, the suspects **fled the area along with the lioness**. Raids are currently underway to arrest the owner and recover the wild animal.
Authorities have vowed to take **strict action** against those involved, stressing that keeping wild animals without permission is illegal and poses a serious threat to public safety.
