Government Announces Major Increase in Petrol and Diesel Prices

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — The government has significantly increased the prices of petroleum products, including petrol and high-speed diesel, with the new rates coming into effect from May 1.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs 19.39 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs 399.58 per liter.
Similarly, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 6.51 per liter, setting the new rate at Rs 399.86 per liter.
Officials stated that the revised prices will be implemented nationwide, adding further pressure on consumers already facing rising costs of living.
