Balochistan Chief Secretary Inaugurates Business Facilitation Center, Investment and Job Creation a Top Priority

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Balochistan Chief Secretary **Shakeel Qadir Khan** on Wednesday said that the provincial government is pursuing a comprehensive policy to **promote investment and accelerate commercial and business activities** across the province, stressing that **innovation in all sectors of governance** is essential for sustainable development and improved governance.
He expressed these views while addressing the **soft launch ceremony of the Business Facilitation Center (BFC)** organized by the **Balochistan Board of Investment** at **Sikandar Jamali Auditorium**. The event was attended by **BBOI Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar, Chief Executive Officer Qaim Lashari, provincial secretaries, and senior officials**.
The Chief Secretary said that **unemployment is one of Balochistan’s biggest challenges**, and the government is focusing on **boosting investment and trade activities** to address this issue. He noted that the establishment of the **Business Facilitation Center will provide investors and entrepreneurs with one-window services**, enabling them to access all required facilities under a single roof.
He emphasized that BFC offices should be **expanded to divisional headquarters** to further ease access for investors. Calling the initiative a **positive and commendable step**, he lauded the efforts of the Balochistan Board of Investment and highlighted the province’s **vast potential in various sectors**, particularly **fisheries and minerals**. He also termed the **shrimp farming project in Dam** as an important step toward economic diversification.
Speaking on the occasion, **BBOI Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar** said that, in line with the vision of **Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti**, transforming Balochistan into a **hub of business and investment** remains their core mission. He added that since assuming office a year ago, priority has been given to bringing **investment projects to the province**, yielding encouraging results. He described the Business Facilitation Center as a **key component of the Chief Minister’s digitization program**, noting that the guidance of the Chief Secretary played a vital role in its completion.
Earlier, **BBOI CEO Qaim Lashari** briefed the participants on the **objectives and services of the Business Facilitation Center**, explaining that the one-window platform aims to **make Balochistan more accessible and attractive for investors**, remove bureaucratic hurdles, improve service delivery, and modernize the **Ease of Doing Business framework** in the province.
