Court Grants Post-Arrest Bail to Aamna Urooj in Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Video Case

Lahore: A sessions court in Lahore has granted post-arrest bail to Aamna Urooj, who was arrested in a case involving the alleged circulation of an inappropriate video of renowned playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi announced the reserved verdict on Aamna Urooj’s post-arrest bail plea, approving her release on bail. The court directed the accused to submit surety bonds worth Rs300,000.

The case against Aamna Urooj was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). She was accused of uploading and circulating an objectionable video of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar on social media platforms.

The court’s order paves the way for her release, subject to compliance with the bail conditions.
