PTI Parliamentary Party Meeting Descends into Dispute Immediately After Start

**Islamabad:** The **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party meeting** erupted into conflict just as it began, sources reported.
According to insiders, **Shahid Khatak** asked **Senator Zarqa** to leave the meeting. Senator Zarqa had protested after receiving a show-cause notice but not seeing a resolution, leading to a heated exchange that caused the meeting to end abruptly.
Members of parliament reportedly walked out of the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House**, expressing dissatisfaction with the meeting’s handling. They stated that if **Barrister Gohar** and **Salman Akram Raja** could not conduct the session properly, such meetings should not have been convened. PTI parliamentarians also decided to write to the party’s founder regarding Shahid Khatak’s conduct.
Speaking to Geo News, PTI Secretary-General **Salman Akram Raja** said no concerns regarding him or Barrister Gohar were raised, and the verbal exchanges occurred before his arrival.
Senator Zarqa told Geo News that the party summoned them after issuing a show-cause notice for an interview and requested a **sworn statement**. She said the heated exchange was necessary for the party to make a decision regarding their position, emphasizing that they had previously rejected lucrative offers worth millions.
Shahid Khatak, commenting on the matter, stated that he did not wish to discuss the party’s internal affairs publicly.
