Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani: Women Compromise Far More Than Men, Mental Abuse Often Ignored

**Islamabad:** Justice **Mohsin Akhtar Kiani** of the High Court made notable remarks in a case concerning **divorce and dowry disputes**. He highlighted that in society, physical abuse is recognized as torture, but **mental abuse is often overlooked**, despite being extremely distressing.

Justice Kiani emphasized that **women compromise far more than men**, stating that men do not even reach one percent of the sacrifices women make. He further remarked that if a woman separates from her husband, she should be allowed to live with dignity. He advised that respect and **honor given at the time of marriage always belongs to the wife**, and a happy married life requires not taking that respect away from her.
