President Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Call Sindh CM to Review Gul Plaza Fire Situation

Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to inquire about the latest situation following the devastating fire at Gul Plaza in Karachi.

During the phone call, President Asif Ali Zardari directed the Sindh chief minister to utilize all available resources for rescue and relief operations. He praised the bravery and sacrifice of martyred firefighter **Furqan Shaukat** and recommended that he be nominated for a **civil award** in recognition of his courage. The president also instructed authorities to ensure proper medical care for the injured and to take immediate steps for the rehabilitation of the affected families and restoration of their homes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while expressing deep sorrow over the Gul Plaza tragedy, assured the Sindh government of **full support from the federal government**. He said that the federal authorities would provide all possible assistance in dealing with the aftermath of the incident.
