Arrest Warrants Issued for Fawad Chaudhry in Corruption Case

Rawalpindi: A special anti-corruption court in Rawalpindi has issued arrest warrants for former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in connection with a corruption case.
Despite repeated court summons, Chaudhry failed to appear before the court, prompting Anti-Corruption Judge Khawar Rasheed to issue the arrest warrants. The court has directed authorities to arrest and present the former minister in court.
The hearing has been adjourned until June 30. During the proceedings, the court also expressed strong displeasure over the failure to submit the case challan and ordered the investigating officer to ensure its submission by the next hearing date.
The case was registered at the Anti-Corruption Police Station in Jhelum and involves allegations of receiving a large bribe in exchange for facilitating land acquisition.
