If Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Is Today Hearing Talk of Governor’s Rule and Emergency, It Is Not the Fault of the People but of 13 Years of Incompetence: Maryam Nawaz

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is today hearing talk of governor’s rule and emergency, it is not the fault of the people but of 13 years of incompetence. Why are Punjab’s mothers carefree while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s mothers live in fear? Because there, attention was not on protecting the people but on marching on Islamabad.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the brothers and sisters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received only sit-ins, unrest, abuse, and cheap trends for thirteen years. If Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is today hearing talk of governor’s rule and emergency, it is not the fault of the people but of thirteen years of incompetence.

She questioned the brothers and sisters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are in the same country, share the same Constitution and the same national treasury — then why is there a journey of development in one province and decline and unrest in the other? The difference is not of resources but of intention and capability.

Maryam Nawaz said that if Punjab can be clean, why not Khyber Pakhtunkhwa? Because there, there was no cleanliness, only politics. If scholarships can be given to Punjab’s talented children, why not to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s children? Because there, the priority was not children but sit-ins. If Punjab’s mothers are carefree, why are Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s mothers in fear? Because there, attention was not on protecting the people but on marching on Islamabad.

Maryam Nawaz said that if green electric buses can run in Punjab, why not in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa? Because there, projects ran not on the ground but only on social media.

If paved roads can reach Punjab’s villages, why are Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s roads incomplete? Because there, there were promises but no work. If free medicine, field hospitals, and clinics on wheels are at the doorstep in Punjab, why is Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s patient helpless? Because there, power was dearer than the people’s health.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the answer to “why” is one and the same: thirteen years of unrest and incompetence! Punjab has proven that governments run not on slogans but on work, work, and work. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa now needs service, not unrest.
