Afghanistan Fast Bowler Naveen-ul-Haq Ruled Out of T20 World Cup Due to Injury

**Islamabad:** Afghanistan cricket team’s fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup due to an injury.
According to cricket website ESPNcricinfo, Naveen-ul-Haq will also miss the three-match T20 series against the West Indies scheduled for next week. The pacer is set to undergo surgery later this month.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has not yet announced a replacement for Naveen-ul-Haq. However, the reserve players for the T20 World Cup include spinner AM Ghazanfar, Ijaz Ahmadzai, and fast bowler Zia-ur-Rehman Sharifi.
The exact nature of Naveen-ul-Haq’s injury has not been disclosed so far. It is worth noting that the ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on February 7.
