JUI-Balochistan Urges Government to Resolve Public Employees’ Legitimate Demands Immediately

**Quetta:** The Balochistan chapter of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has called on the provincial government to take urgent, meaningful, and forward-looking measures to address the legitimate demands of government employees, emphasizing that timely action is essential to ensure smooth functioning of public services and to prevent unnecessary hardships for the public.
In a joint statement, JUI-Balochistan Chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasi and General Secretary Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah said that work in various government offices across the province is currently disrupted, forcing employees to resort to peaceful protests to have their issues addressed. They stressed that the employees’ concerns are not receiving the attention and seriousness they deserve.
Highlighting the economic pressure and mental stress faced by employees due to limited income and rising inflation, the leaders said it is the government’s fundamental responsibility to recognize and address their plight. They expressed concern that while employees are compelled to protest for their rights, ordinary citizens are simultaneously suffering due to delays in public services.
The JUI leaders emphasized that solutions to such issues lie in meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and serious consultation rather than conflict. They reaffirmed the party’s moral, constitutional, and democratic support for employees and laborers, pledging to continue highlighting their demands in all appropriate forums with dignity and perseverance.
Finally, the statement urged the provincial government to recognize the sensitivity of the matter and take immediate and sustainable steps to resolve employees’ issues, restore the efficiency of government institutions, provide relief to the public, and foster an environment of harmony and trust in the province.
