Crackdown Begins Against Vehicles Without M-Tag in Islamabad

**Islamabad:** Authorities in the federal capital have officially launched operations against vehicles without M-Tags as the deadline for compliance has expired.
M-Tag readers installed at 12 major entry points of Islamabad have been activated, and vehicles without valid M-Tags are now being stopped from entering the city. The Directorate General of Excise has urged citizens to install M-Tags on their vehicles immediately to avoid inconvenience and legal action.
To facilitate the public, M-Tag installation services are being provided at 16 locations across Islamabad, with these centers operating 24 hours a day. According to the DG Excise, restricting the entry of vehicles without M-Tags will help improve traffic flow and ensure safer and smoother travel for residents.
The authorities clarified that the enforcement drive has commenced following the expiry of the M-Tag deadline, with the aim of ensuring strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations in the city.
Citizens have been advised to obtain M-Tags for their vehicles at the earliest to avoid fines or disruption. Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to modernize traffic management and enhance public convenience in Islamabad.
