**Islamabad:** Renowned fitness trainer Takai Rashid has shared 10 practical and effective strategies to help individuals lose up to 20 kilograms within three months.
With the new year, many people set goals for adopting a healthier lifestyle and shedding excess weight. Experts, however, emphasize that rapid weight loss requires strict discipline and consistency. Takai Rashid stated that following a structured plan and making mindful daily choices can make this ambitious target achievable.
In an Instagram post, Rashid advised avoiding sugary drinks such as soda, packaged juices, malt beverages, and alcohol, suggesting alternatives like water, green tea, or lemon-ginger water. To reduce excessive carbohydrates, he recommended limiting white bread, pastries, fried foods, and excess rice while prioritizing lean proteins, vegetables, and healthy carbs.
He stressed establishing a fixed mealtime, avoiding late-night meals, and limiting fast food in favor of home-cooked nutritious meals. Increasing physical activity is crucial, with daily walking, taking stairs, and aiming for at least 10,000 steps per day. Strength training exercises 2–3 times a week help burn stubborn fat and build muscle.
Rashid also advised replacing junk food like biscuits, sweets, and chips with healthy snacks such as fruits or Greek yogurt. Getting 7–8 hours of quality sleep daily is essential for effective weight loss. Mental resilience is equally important, as making disciplined choices despite social pressures and cravings supports sustainable results.
