Enemies of Peace Want to Deny Pakistan Economic Stability and a Secure Future: Khawaja Asif

**Islamabad:** Federal Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the enemies of peace are determined to keep Pakistan away from economic stability and a secure future, warning that hostile elements remain active against the country.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Khawaja Asif said that those who politically nurtured Imran Khan, brought him into power, and are now providing shelter to individuals who abuse Pakistan want the country to once again fall under their influence and see their “protégé” return to power.

Referring to the events of May 9, he said that attacks on military installations were part of the same agenda. Drawing a comparison, Khawaja Asif stated that when India carried out an attack during Imran Khan’s tenure, Indian pilot Abhinandan was returned swiftly, whereas during the Indian attack in May 2025, Pakistan responded decisively and “wrote a new chapter of victory,” astonishing the world.

He said the nation witnessed how Pakistan, which had previously avoided taking risks against India, demonstrated strength and resolve. “With Allah’s help, our armed forces raised the nation’s head with pride, and our martyrs made the country eternal,” he added.

The federal minister warned that the enemy remains watchful and urged the nation to stay alert. He also criticized what he described as “so-called Pakistanis” living abroad and advocating talks with the Taliban, saying such elements are enemies of Pakistan’s peace and development and want to deprive the country of economic stability and a safe future.

He concluded his statement with the slogan: “Pakistan Zindabad.”
