Healthcare Commission Conducts Surprise Raids on Nurseries and Laboratories in Quetta

Quetta:The Healthcare Commission conducted surprise inspections at various nurseries and laboratories across Quetta, taking strict action against facilities operating with outdated registrations and in violation of approved protocols. Heavy fines were imposed on nurseries found non-compliant with regulations.
During the inspections, it was observed that several laboratories were operating without the presence of qualified doctors (pathologists). Dr. Lubna stated that many laboratories and nurseries are being run without authorized medical professionals, which poses serious risks to patient safety.
The inspection teams also found that children had been admitted to well-known nurseries without proper medical records or documentation. Dr. Lubna emphasized that operating nurseries without maintaining complete medical details of patients is a serious violation of healthcare standards.
While many hospitals in the city are equipped with modern nursery facilities operating under updated systems, several others were found to be running nurseries without qualified experts. As a result, heavy fines were imposed on such facilities.
In a major action, a private nursery, Jinnah Child Care, was sealed for violating healthcare regulations. The Healthcare Commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring quality healthcare services and warned that strict action would continue against facilities violating established rules and protocols.
