Deadlock Over National Assembly Opposition Leader Resolved; Notification to Be Issued Thursday

**Islamabad:** The issue of appointing the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly has been resolved, with the Speaker and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reaching an agreement.

Sources said PTI National Assembly members, led by Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, held a meeting with Speaker Asad Qaiser, Aamir Dogar, Atif Khan, and other MNAs to finalize the process. The Speaker has assured that the appointment will be completed by Thursday.

According to reports, PTI’s chief whip will resubmit the nomination papers for the Opposition Leader, which the Speaker will review on Wednesday. The official notification of the appointment will then be issued in the National Assembly on Thursday.

Former Speaker and PTI leader Asad Qaiser confirmed that the appointment process has begun and is expected to be completed within two to three days.
