Delayed Development Projects in Quetta Cause Inconvenience for Residents

**Islamabad (Qudrat News)** – Development projects in various areas of **Quetta** have become a source of inconvenience rather than relief for the public. Particularly, the **Western Bypass and Samungli Road** projects, delayed for years, have severely disrupted daily life for residents.

Despite the government releasing funds, **negligence by officials and contractors** has prevented project completion or any significant progress, resulting in **traffic congestion, dust, and frequent accidents**.

Contractors claim that the **National Highway Authority (NHA)** has not provided adequate funds. However, the NHA asserts that **funds have been released and additional support ensured**, highlighting that the delays are due to **mismanagement and lack of interest** rather than financial constraints.

Local communities have urged **Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti** to take notice of the negligence, **blacklist unresponsive contractors**, and appoint new contractors with strict deadlines to ensure that the public receives **real and timely relief**.
