NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Announces Procedure for Opposition Leader Appointment

**Islamabad:** Speaker of the National Assembly, **Sardar Ayaz Sadiq**, has announced the procedure for the appointment of the **Leader of the Opposition**.

At the start of the assembly session, he directed that **applications be submitted by January 13**, including signatures from opposition members. He added that after verification, the name of the opposition leader will be announced on **January 14 at 3:00 PM**.

Opposition Chief Whip **Aamir Dogar** informed the Speaker that they had already submitted the name of **Mehmood Achakzai**. In response, the Speaker noted that the delay was due to the matter being in court and advised that the submission be made again so the process could move forward.

This announcement sets the official timeline for the selection of the opposition leader in the National Assembly.
