Balochistan Government Taking Coordinated Measures with Federal Support to Promote Development: CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti

Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, said on Thursday that for the first time in the province’s history, 100 percent of the allocated development budget has been used transparently and effectively, reflecting the provincial government’s strong planning, financial discipline, and good governance.

Speaking during a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, provincial ministers, allied parties, and opposition leaders, CM Bugti expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his special support to Balochistan. He highlighted the approval of key development projects, including the Quetta-Karachi National Highway and the establishment of Daanish Schools, which are expected to serve as milestones in the province’s socio-economic progress.

He noted that Balochistan faces unique challenges compared to other provinces due to its vast geography, scattered population, and security concerns, which complicate development efforts. Despite these challenges, the provincial government has achieved significant successes by ensuring continuity in peace-building, public welfare, and development projects.

CM Bugti emphasized that Balochistan requires special and sustained federal attention due to its distinct economic, social, and geographical conditions. “The provincial government is working closely with the federal government to lift Balochistan out of underdevelopment and integrate it into the national development stream through serious, coordinated, and result-oriented measures,” he said.

He added that the provincial government’s performance, improvement in law and order, and development initiatives have been recognized even at the highest military forums, demonstrating that with cooperation between federal and military institutions, Balochistan is moving in the right direction, yielding positive outcomes in stability and development.
