Severe Cold Wave Persists in Balochistan, Temperature Drops to Minus 3°C in Ziarat

Quetta: A severe cold wave continues to grip Balochistan, including its coastal areas, disrupting daily life across several districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in the upper and northern parts of the province have fallen close to the freezing point, with some areas recording sub-zero conditions. Ziarat recorded a minimum temperature of minus 3 degrees Celsius, while Zhob registered zero degrees Celsius.
In other parts of the province, the minimum temperature in Sibi was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius and in Turbat at 11 degrees Celsius. Nokundi experienced a low of 3 degrees Celsius, whereas Chaman recorded 1 degree Celsius.
The cold spell has also affected coastal regions of Balochistan. The Meteorological Department reported that the minimum temperature in Gwadar dropped to 9 degrees Celsius, while Jiwani recorded 11 degrees Celsius.
Authorities have advised residents, particularly in colder regions, to take precautionary measures as the cold weather is expected to persist.
