Eight Muslim Countries Express Deep Concern Over Worsening Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates have expressed serious concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, issuing a joint statement highlighting the urgency of the crisis.

The statement noted that severe weather, including continuous rain and storms, has worsened the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, while insufficient aid, shortages of essential supplies, and slow delivery of relief materials have further aggravated the situation. Nearly 1.9 million displaced people are living in inadequate temporary shelters, facing life-threatening risks from submerged tents, collapsing buildings, harsh cold, and food scarcity, particularly affecting children, women, the elderly, and the sick.

The ministers commended the efforts of UN agencies, especially UNRWA, and international humanitarian organizations working under extremely difficult circumstances to provide aid to Palestinians. They urged Israel to allow UN and international NGOs to operate in Gaza and the West Bank continuously, safely, and without obstruction, emphasizing that any hindrance to these operations is unacceptable.

Reaffirming support for UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and former President Trump’s comprehensive plan, the ministers stressed their commitment to facilitating ceasefire continuity, ending hostilities in Gaza, ensuring a dignified life for Palestinians, and promoting Palestinian self-determination and statehood.

The joint statement called for immediate and expanded relief measures, including durable and dignified shelters to protect residents from severe winter conditions. It also urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities and press Israel to lift all restrictions on the entry and distribution of essential items such as tents, medical aid, clean water, fuel, and sanitation facilities.

Furthermore, the statement demanded the unhindered provision of humanitarian aid through UN channels, restoration of critical infrastructure and hospitals, and the reopening of the Rafah crossing on both sides in line with Trump’s plan.
