Explosion at Swiss Ski Resort Bar Kills 40, Dozens Injured

**Switzerland:** A powerful explosion at a bar in a luxury ski resort in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, has claimed the lives of 40 people and injured around 100 others, many of them seriously.
According to international media, Swiss police reported that the blast occurred at a bar within the resort, causing a major fire. Initial details about the exact cause of the explosion and identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that several of the casualties were foreign nationals. Swiss authorities stated that the incident is not being treated as a deliberate attack.
Police said the explosion occurred at 1:30 a.m., between Wednesday and Thursday, at the height of New Year celebrations, when the bar was crowded with visitors. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to evacuate guests and assist the injured.
