Islamabad – Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim and his wife Sania Ashfaq have parted ways, with their separation drawing widespread attention on social media. The split has been attributed to long-standing marital differences, while unverified claims of infidelity have also circulated online, linking Imad Wasim’s name to social media influencer Naila Raja.
Neither Imad Wasim nor Naila Raja has confirmed any romantic relationship. However, public curiosity has grown regarding Naila Raja’s identity following the online speculation.
Who is Naila Raja?
Naila Zulfiqar Raja is a well-known Pakistani lawyer, social media influencer, and digital content creator. She has over 660,000 followers on Instagram and a significant presence on YouTube as well. Naila Raja is primarily known for her lifestyle and beauty-related content, and her visibility increased further after her name surfaced in connection with the ongoing controversy.
Addressing the matter, Naila Raja stated in an Instagram story that an ordinary video was misrepresented, leading to baseless assumptions. She urged social media users to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors and requested not to be dragged into matters unrelated to her.
Earlier, Imad Wasim publicly acknowledged that he and his wife had been facing differences for a long period and announced that legal proceedings for divorce had been initiated. He said that despite mutual efforts over several years, the issues could not be resolved, prompting the decision to separate.
Meanwhile, Sania Ashfaq shared a statement on social media expressing deep distress over the situation. She claimed that her family had been shattered and that her children were deprived of their father. According to her, their five-month-old child has yet to be held by his father.
Sania Ashfaq said that despite enduring hardships during the marriage, she made every possible effort as a wife and mother to save the relationship. She alleged that the situation worsened when a third individual entered their married life. For the sake of her children’s future and family honor, she said she endured mental suffering for a long time.
She further stated that she would pursue legal action and possesses documented evidence related to the matter. Emphasizing that her stance is not driven by revenge, she said she is raising her voice for her own rights and those of her children, and for women who are often silenced in similar circumstances.
Imad Wasim and Sania Ashfaq were married in August 2019 and have three children.
