Pod of Dolphins Spotted at Koh Mehdi Beach, Sign of Healthy Marine Environment

Gwadar (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – A pod of dolphins was recently spotted near the Lake Lap area of Koh Mehdi, approaching the shore in search of food.

Abdul Rahim Baloch, Deputy Director of Environment at Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), stated that the appearance of dolphins and other marine creatures near the coast is a positive indicator of a healthy marine ecosystem.

He explained that following recent algae blooms (Red Tide) in the coastal areas of Makran, the arrival of dolphins reflects improvements in the marine food chain and fish reproduction, signaling a restoration of the ocean’s natural biological balance.
