Mahmood Khan Achakzai Urges Unity Among Pashtun Tribes in Sibi

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):**
Chairman of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has said that Sibi once served as the southern stronghold of the Afghan Empire, but today the Pashtuns of the area have become weak “like patients in an outpatient department (OPD).”

Addressing a jirga in Sibi, Achakzai stated that Sibi was the southern bastion of the Afghan Sultanate, with its center in Sarnagan. He said that under the leadership of Sardar Barozai, Pashtun Khubak and other tribes had established their own rule in the region. He added that he would not go into historical details of where and why battles were fought, but emphasized that the present condition of Pashtuns is far weaker than in the past.

He noted that various Pashtun tribes, including Barozai, Dotani, Loni, Khubak and Salachi, still exist today, but lack collective strength. Achakzai said that Pashtuns in the area are gradually becoming weaker and likened their condition to that of OPD patients.

According to him, there is only one solution to overcome this weakness: all Pashtun tribes of Sibi must unite. He stressed that if anyone attempts to occupy the land of any Pashtun tribe, all Pashtuns should collectively stand up to defend it.
