Alleged Irregularities in Selection of Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj 2026 for Government Employees Exposed

Islamabad:Alleged irregularities have surfaced in the selection process of government employees for Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj 2026.

Government employees who applied for the Khuddam positions have lodged complaints on the Prime Minister’s Complaint Portal, alleging violations of merit. Screenshots of complaints and selection messages sent to candidates have also been made public.

According to the complaints, a merit list was issued without conducting physical tests, resulting in the disenfranchisement of some candidates. On the night of December 20, immediately after the results were uploaded on the portal, selected candidates reportedly received selection messages, while the physical test of successful candidates was allegedly dropped.

Applications from government employees for Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj were accepted until November 30. Following the alleged irregularities, candidates submitted petitions to the Prime Minister’s Complaint Portal and the Federal Ombudsman, requesting that selections be made strictly based on merit.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that every year, 70 percent of positions are filled by returning candidates and 30 percent by new applicants. Quotas are allocated to all provinces based on population, and government employees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and former FATA had also submitted applications.
