Husband Shoots Wife Dead After Receiving Divorce Notice in Bengaluru

Bengaluru:A tragic incident was reported from the Indian city of Bengaluru, where a man allegedly shot and killed his wife after receiving a divorce notice from her.

According to Indian media reports, the accused, identified as Balamurugan, opened fire on his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, following a dispute over the divorce notice. After the incident, he surrendered himself to the police.

The 40-year-old Balamurugan was formerly employed as a software engineer but had been unemployed for the past four years. His wife, Bhuvaneshwari, aged 39, was serving as an assistant manager at Union Bank of India.

The couple married in 2011 and moved to Bengaluru in 2018. Both belonged to the Salem district of Tamil Nadu and were parents to two children.

Bhuvaneshwari was rushed to a hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds, where doctors later confirmed her death. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are recording statements to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crime.
