JUI-F Leader Hafiz Hamdullah Urges Democratic Space for PTI, Calls for Opposition Unity

**Quetta:** Hafiz Hamdullah, a senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F), stated that the demand for new elections is longstanding and stressed the need for a cohesive strategy against the current government. Speaking to a private TV channel, he emphasized that the government formed after February 8 has lost public trust.

Hamdullah called for democratic space for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and highlighted that the opposition must remain united to navigate the country out of political instability. He commented on recent statements from the PTI leadership and Aliyah Khan, noting that there is confusion over which declaration is authentic.

Addressing PTI’s leadership, Hamdullah said there is no issue in meeting the party’s founder, comparing it to past jail meetings with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He urged PTI to move forward as a major political force and stressed that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman would consult with PTI before any collective political action.

Hamdullah further criticized the government for not allowing PTI democratic space, urging that the party be permitted to hold rallies and protests. He called on the opposition to avoid divisions and remain united to effectively pressure the government.
