Loralai Residents Deprived of Drinking Water as Public Health Officers Indulge in Quetta, Tanker Mafia Profits

**Loralai (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Residents of **Loralai**, one of the oldest districts and divisional headquarters, are struggling to access **drinking water**, while officers of the **Public Health Department** reportedly remain indifferent, enjoying luxuries in **Quetta** at the expense of local taxpayers.
People from various areas including **Levies Line, Gudi Mohalla, Purana Hospital Mohalla, Irrigation, Hospital Mohalla, Poultry Farm Mohalla, Pahari Mohalla, BB&R Colony, Khaddi Mohalla**, and others have been **without water for the past three to four months**, forcing them to endure severe hardships.
Critics say that despite the Public Health Department receiving the **largest budget allocations**, the officers prioritize their personal gains over public service. The ongoing water shortage has, in turn, **empowered the tanker mafia**, who allegedly charge exorbitant fees, reportedly in collusion with Public Health officials.
Local residents also claim that **elected representatives of Loralai** have shown little sincerity in ensuring the provision of this essential resource.
The public has urged the **Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Loralai** to take immediate action to supply drinking water to residents. They warned that failing to act may compel them to **seek legal intervention**.
