Thursday Declared Public Holiday Across Pakistan

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** The federal government has announced a **public holiday nationwide on Thursday, December 25**, in observance of the **birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah** and **Christmas**. Official notification of the decision will be issued soon, government sources said.
On this day, **all government and private offices, educational institutions, and banks will remain closed**. Various events will be organized across the country to **honor the services of Quaid-e-Azam**, while the Christian community will celebrate **Christmas festivities**.
In **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, winter holidays have also been announced for educational institutions, providing students with additional convenience. These holidays aim to **balance students’ health and academic activities** during the cold season.
Meanwhile, the **Sindh government** has declared **December 26** a public holiday across the province, specifically for the Christian community to enjoy their religious celebrations peacefully. This initiative is being hailed as a **positive step toward religious harmony and protection of minority rights**.
The government emphasized that holidays on national and religious occasions aim to **show respect for all communities** and **promote tolerance in society**, with expectations that the day will reflect **national unity and religious harmony**.
