Balochistan Leaks” Sparks Storm in Assembly; Cybercrime Chief Summoned, Crackdown Ordered on Defaming Elements

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat):* Tuesday’s session of the Balochistan Assembly was dominated by protests against the social media page “Balochistan Leaks,” which has been accused of spreading fake news and maligning the reputations of assembly members and politicians.

Opposition Leader Mir Younas Aziz Zehri raised the issue in the House, stating that the character assassination campaign is part of a deliberate conspiracy targeting elected representatives.

In response to strong reactions from lawmakers, Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai issued a ruling summoning the local head of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to the assembly immediately.

Additionally, the Speaker announced the formation of a special committee chaired by Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran to investigate the matter and identify individuals involved in defaming members of the assembly.
