Ex-Deputy Commissioner of West Karachi Apologizes to Ali Hassan Zehri Over False Land Grabbing Allegations

Karachi:Former Deputy Commissioner of West Karachi, Fayaz Alam Solangi, has issued a public apology to Ali Hassan Zehri (also known as Ali Hassan Brohi) through a formal advertisement, calling the land-grabbing allegations against him unfounded.

Fayaz Solangi clarified that during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner and under the Anti-Corruption Department’s investigation, a formal inquiry was conducted against Ali Hassan Zehri, but no evidence of land grabbing was found. This statement comes in response to the controversial advertisement published by the West Deputy Commissioner’s office in 2020, which accused Ali Hassan Zehri of illegally occupying over 3,000 acres of government land, worth billions of rupees. The ad also claimed that Zehri used fraudulent entries to seize the land.

However, in his recent apology, Fayaz Alam Solangi made it clear that the inquiry’s findings revealed that all allegations against Ali Hassan Zehri were baseless. “The accusations of land grabbing have been proven false, and I now seek forgiveness from Ali Hassan Zehri,” he stated.

This revelation has caused a stir in both political and administrative circles, particularly because Ali Hassan Zehri is currently serving as a Minister in the Balochistan Cabinet. The false allegations had previously led to a severe reputational damage for Zehri.

Sources indicate that Ali Hassan Zehri is now considering legal action to hold those responsible for tarnishing his reputation accountable under the law.
