PPP Minister Rejects Linking Baloch Identity with Crime, Hails Mir Jalal Khan and Mir Chakar Khan as Heroes

**Quetta:** Provincial Minister for Planning and Development of Balochistan, Zahoor Balochidi, condemned attempts to associate the Baloch community with criminal activities, stating that such portrayals reflect India’s suspicious intentions.

Speaking on social media platform X, Zahoor Balochidi emphasized that Baloch culture and traditions are an integral part of Pakistan’s rich and diverse heritage and should never be depicted negatively or criminally. He criticized an Indian film that portrayed a gangster in Karachi as a representative of the Baloch community, calling it part of a deliberate propaganda narrative.

The minister highlighted that Karachi is a microcosm of Pakistan where all communities coexist with respect and harmony, making it unacceptable to link the Baloch identity with crime. He warned that glorifying such negative characters could mislead youth and push them toward criminality, posing serious risks to society.

Zahoor Balochidi stressed that the true ambassadors of the Baloch nation are not gangsters but historical leaders such as Mir Jalal Khan and Mir Chakar Khan Rind, among many others, who represent the illustrious chapters of Baloch history, culture, and traditions. He urged the youth to take pride in their authentic history and heritage rather than fall prey to external propaganda and reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to promoting a positive Baloch identity and guiding the younger generation.
