Islamabad:The National Highway Authority (NHA) has issued a pre-qualification notice for the construction of the Sukkur–Hyderabad Motorway (M-6), marking a major step toward the long-awaited infrastructure project.

According to details, the bidding process for the construction of a 61-kilometer section from Noshehro Feroze to Ranipur is scheduled to take place in March 2026. The Government of Pakistan has sought financing for the M-6 project from the Islamic Development Bank.

The Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway will be a six-lane highway spanning a total length of 306 kilometers. Once completed, the motorway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities from around six hours to approximately two and a half hours.
