Successful Talks with Punjab Government: Transporters Call Off Strike

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Negotiations between the Punjab government and goods transporters have successfully concluded, leading to an **immediate end to the strike**.
The talks were chaired by **Senior Minister Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb**, with active participation from representatives of the transporters. Following the Chief Minister of Punjab’s instructions, a **special committee** has been formed to address the issues raised by transporters, which will also be led by Maryam Aurangzeb. The committee will include officials from the **Goods Transport Alliance** and other relevant authorities, with its **first meeting scheduled for tomorrow**.
During the negotiations, the **central president of the Goods Transport Alliance** and other officials signed a reconciliation agreement, formally marking the end of the strike.
Maryam Aurangzeb welcomed the transporters’ decision, emphasizing that the government seeks to resolve issues **through dialogue and understanding**. She added that the government’s **top priority is safeguarding human life and improving conditions for citizens**.
