Imran Khan Willing to Negotiate, But Only With ‘Those in Power,’ Says KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur

Rawalpindi: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is ready for negotiations, but talks will only be held with “those in power” who have real authority.
Speaking to the media in Rawalpindi, Gandapur stated that Imran Khan has repeatedly made it clear that he is willing to negotiate with the powerful decision-makers. “If they allow us political leaders to meet him, only then can a way forward be found,” he said.
The KP chief minister also recalled that when he assumed office, he suggested initiating talks with Afghanistan’s leadership but was told it was not his mandate. “I said fine, then you do it yourself,” he remarked.

It is noteworthy that Gandapur has been unable to meet Imran Khan in prison for several weeks. Despite multiple attempts to visit him at Adiala Jail, he has been denied access.
A few days ago, Imran Khan, in a statement from jail, stressed that Gandapur must meet him and advised the KP chief minister to approach the court to secure permission for the meeting.
