ANP Announces Support for Khushal Khan Kakar in NA-251 By-Election

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — The **Awami National Party (ANP)** has formally announced its support for **Khushal Khan Kakar**, the candidate of the **Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP)**, in the upcoming **NA-251 (Killa Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani)** by-election scheduled for **December 18, 2025**.
The decision was made during a **provincial parliamentary board meeting** chaired by **ANP Provincial Chairman Asghar Khan Achakzai**, attended by Secretary Mabat Kakar, members Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai and Khan Zaman Kakar, while board member Nawab Arbab and Senator Umar Farooq Kasi joined online.
The board instructed party workers and officials to actively mobilize support to ensure the victory of the **joint ANP-PNAP candidate** in the by-election. Both parties emphasized that the **political, economic, and social challenges facing the Pashtun community** necessitate unity, urging nationalist parties to set aside differences and work on a **strong and coordinated platform**.
During a high-level meeting at **Khan House Quetta**, ANP leadership, including Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, Provincial General Secretary Mabat Kakar, and other key leaders, held detailed discussions with PNAP leaders led by Senior Deputy Chairman Reza Muhammad Reza regarding future electoral strategy, political collaboration, and a unified approach to address national issues.
The agreement underscores that **both parties will not only implement a joint strategy in NA-251** but will continue to work together on broader **national and economic issues affecting Pashtunkhwa**. Leaders highlighted that addressing inflation, unemployment, underdevelopment, lack of representation, and fair resource distribution requires a united political front.
ANP Provincial Chairman **Asghar Khan Achakzai** urged party members to begin **full-scale efforts to secure Khushal Khan Kakar’s victory**, emphasizing that the alliance will strengthen national cohesion and advance the cause of citizens’ rights.
