Faiz Hameed’s Punishment Is Internal Military Matter, Says KP CM Sohail Afridi
**Rawalpindi:** Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister **Sohail Afridi** has stated that **Faiz Hameed**, being an employee of a state institution, is subject to internal disciplinary measures, and any punishment imposed on him is an internal matter of the organization.
Afridi made these remarks while addressing police officers at the Dahgal checkpoint in Rawalpindi, where he was stopped en route to **Adiala Jail**. He questioned the police, saying, “You are putting barriers in front of your own citizens. What message are you trying to send? You blocked us the day before yesterday and today as well.”
He condemned the alleged mistreatment of women by law enforcement, referring to an incident where women, including the sisters of PTI Chairman **Imran Khan**, were reportedly treated inhumanely. Afridi said, “They are non-political women. Who gives you these orders? You have placed barriers in front of a provincial chief minister. I am the CM of KP, a part of Pakistan. What message are you sending to the world?”
Afridi criticized the Punjab government, saying, “All of this happened under the orders of the fake Chief Minister of Punjab. The PTI founder and his spouse were unjustly imprisoned, and the founder was kept in solitary confinement. This will be remembered, and accountability will come when our government takes charge.”
He further stated that for the past three and a half years, efforts have been made to undermine Imran Khan, calling it a repeated tactic since 1947. He emphasized that the PTI leadership advocates for the strength of Pakistan and its institutions, adding, “Meeting my leader is my democratic right, yet my passport has been placed on the control list.”
Afridi reiterated, “Faiz Hameed is an employee of an institution. If any punishment has been imposed, it is an internal matter. Our concern is the performance of the government, which has failed so badly that young Pakistanis are leaving the country, and the nation is heading towards destruction.”
