Passport Department Launches New Online Verification System, Fingerprint Issues Resolved

Islamabad: The Passport Department has launched a new online verification system, successfully resolving the technical issues previously faced during the fingerprint verification process for online passport applicants.

According to the department, applicants can now easily verify their fingerprints through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application. In cases where fingerprint verification remains problematic, a facial verification option has also been introduced to facilitate users.

Director General Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, stated that overseas Pakistanis had reported frequent difficulties in completing online fingerprint verification. The newly introduced system will especially benefit overseas applicants and senior citizens.

He added that the department is committed to providing the public with modern and convenient services, ensuring maximum ease in the passport application process.
