Hazara Democratic Party Chairman Blames PML-N and PPP for Quetta’s Governance Crisis

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Chairman of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), has criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for the deteriorating condition of Quetta, accusing them of undermining democracy by imposing “parachute” candidates over the will of the people.
Speaking during corner meetings in support of HDP’s nominated councilors for local elections in Zarghoon Town and Chiltan Town, Hazara said the current representatives lack the capability, courage, and competence to address even minor issues, resulting in widespread mismanagement across the city.
He claimed that the current system runs on contractor-based practices and poor governance, causing widespread destruction in all sectors. Hazara held PML-N and PPP responsible for sabotaging the public’s choice in the 2024 general elections by manipulating the selection of candidates through Form 47, which eroded public trust in democracy and democratic institutions.
He urged citizens to distinguish between genuine political candidates and those undermining democracy, warning them to remain vigilant against deceptive actors. Hazara emphasized that the city’s leadership should be entrusted to HDP workers free from bias, in order to restore Quetta’s development and guide it toward a path of reconstruction and progress.
