82,000 Illegal Residents Deported from Quetta Division; Two Major Weekly Operations Planned: Commissioner Shahzeb Kakar

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzeb Khan Kakar chaired a high-level review meeting on the ongoing crackdown against Afghan nationals and other illegally residing individuals in the region. The session was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Meharullah Badini, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, FIA officials, police officers, and representatives from other law-enforcement agencies. DIG Police, and the Deputy Commissioners of Chaman, Killa Abdullah, Pishin, along with SP Killa Abdullah and Deputy Director FIA, joined the meeting online.

During the meeting, it was decided that all four districts of Quetta Division will intensify the operation against illegal residents, with *two major operations to be conducted every week*. Authorities will also tighten inspections at hotels, inns, and bus terminals.

Briefing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Quetta reported that more than **30,000 illegal residents** have already been sent back through joint actions by district administration, police, and other agencies. However, recent operations slowed due to election preparations and official commitments. From next week, checking activities in all four tehsils will be expanded to four days a week.

The Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah informed that **over 23,000 foreign nationals** have been deported so far, and operations continue at a fast pace. Police have been given special instructions to monitor hotels and transport hubs strictly.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Pishin stated that out of over 35,000 residents in two major Afghan camps, **34,000 individuals have been repatriated**, and the camps have now been taken over by the district administration. Shops belonging to illegal residents have been sealed and demolished.

In total, the Quetta Division has facilitated the return of **more than 82,000 illegal residents** to date.

Officials also briefed that some foreign nationals are hiding in urban areas using fake identity cards, complicating operations. A new verification mechanism has been devised, and the scrutiny process is being made more stringent.

Commissioner Shahzeb Khan Kakar directed district administrations, police, FC, and FIA to further accelerate the campaign. He stressed the need for a coordinated strategy to send back the maximum number of illegal residents swiftly, ensure strict checking at hotels and transport terminals, and update operational data daily.

He expressed confidence that with coordinated efforts, all illegally residing individuals in the division will be repatriated soon.
